Message from the Registrar and CEO

As we move through another productive year, the College remains focused on initiatives that strengthen accountability, promote fairness and support its public protection mandate. In this issue, I am pleased to share several recent developments that reflect our ongoing commitment to strengthening trust in the professions we regulate.

This month, the College published its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting key initiatives, achievements and priorities from the past year. The report demonstrates the dedication of registrants, employers, Council and staff in supporting ethical, competent and professional practice across Ontario.

The College also recently released the second-year findings from its Equity and Inclusion Data Initiative. This work provides valuable insights into the diversity of the professions and provides a comparison to the communities they serve. It also helps to inform evidence-based decision-making and identify opportunities to strengthen equity, inclusion and accessibility across the sector. These findings support the College’s commitment to continuous improvement and fairness within the regulatory environment.

As employers, your partnership remains essential in supporting professional and ethical practice. Through leadership, supervision and organizational support, employers play a critical role in helping registrants uphold the standards that protect the public and maintain confidence in the professions.

The College values our collaboration and our shared commitment to public protection. Together, we can continue to support safe, competent care and strengthen trust in the important services that social workers and social service workers provide to individuals, families and communities across Ontario.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and for the important work you do every day in support of the public interest.

Sincerely,

Denitha Breau,
RN, MSN, MBA
