ATTENTION EMPLOYERS IN NORTHERN ONTARIO
On November 8, 2023, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is hosting a virtual event for employers in Electoral District #1.
Electoral District #1 is comprised of northern Ontario and includes the following areas:
- Kenora
- Sault St. Marie
- North Bay
- Fort Frances
- Timmis
- Rainy River
- Thunder Bay
- Cochrane
- Timiskaming
- Sudbury
- Algoma
- Manitoulin
- Parry Sound
- Nipissing
- Muskoka
If you’re an employer in one of these regions, the College would like to invite your organization to participate in our virtual Employer Webinar, which is being held on Wednesday, November 8th, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The event will provide employers of social workers and social service workers with an interactive opportunity to:
- learn about the College’s public protection mandate;
- discuss the importance of registration; and
- explore some of the challenges that employers in Electoral District #1 face today.
The College’s Director of Complaints and Discipline, Richelle Samuel, Registration Manager, Susanne Pacheco, and Registrant and Renewal Manager, Paul Cucci, will facilitate the discussion and look forward to employers’ participation and feedback.
