The College’s 2023 Annual Meeting and Education Day – Virtual Portal Now Open

This year’s virtual Annual Meeting and Education Day (AMED) is quickly approaching on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 9 a.m. EST.

Already registered? Watch out for a welcome email!

For College registrants who have already registered to attend AMED, we have now opened the AMED 2023 Virtual Portal for you to access. Please be on the lookout for a welcome email from the Pheedloop portal in the coming days with information inviting you to log in and get familiar with the conference platform.

The Annual Meeting, keynote address and educational sessions will be held LIVE through the Virtual Portal on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, starting at 9 a.m. EST. All sessions (except the keynote address) will be available ON-DEMAND immediately following the event for you to log in and view at your leisure.

Your registration will provide you access to attend:

  • the College’s Annual Meeting;
  • the keynote address presented by Zelda la Grange, which will focus on the post-Apartheid South African journey towards inclusion informed by her two decades of working closely with Nelson Mandela, and how this history applies to our own journey towards truth and reconciliation in Canada;
  • the four educational sessions on a variety of relevant topics.

Keynote Speaker

The College is pleased to have Zelda la Grange as the keynote speaker, who will present on South Africa’s journey towards inclusion and Reconciliation, informed by her two decades of working closely with Nelson Mandela in post-Apartheid South Africa. The keynote presentation will be followed by four educational sessions.


Participation and the CCP

College registrants can use their attendance at AMED, including their participation in any of the four educational sessions, towards the completion of their Continuing Competence Program (CCP). The CCP ensures that social workers and social service workers are qualified, enhance their knowledge on an ongoing basis, and remain up to date in their practice throughout their careers.
