The Educational Forums are part of the College’s Glenda McDonald Educational Series. These half-day events are an excellent opportunity for members to stay connected with the College and gain valuable knowledge through the following agenda:

Keynote Address: The Journey to Unity: Disrupting Racism and Decolonizing Child Welfare
Speakers: Sherrie Moore, MSW, RSW, Service Director, Family and Children’s Services Niagara, and Elizabeth Sault, Indigenous Healing and Wellness Program Coordinator & Indigenous Advocate
Description: This keynote address will examine the work being done by the Unity Team at Family and Children Services Niagara and their collaboration with Indigenous partners. Sherrie and Elizabeth will discuss the ways in which the Unity Team collaboration is a meaningful step towards reconciliation, working to build bridges of trust with Indigenous communities and centering on Indigenous self-determination. They will share the Unity Team’s journey – which is one filled with wisdom, courage, honesty, respect, truth, humility and love.
