The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) invites you to attend its Educational Forum on Wednesday October 27, 2021. The Educational Forum is part of the Glenda McDonald Educational Series.
What to Expect
Following the success of this year’s two-day virtual Annual Meeting and Education Day (AMED), which reached over 2,000 members, and as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to increase equity and inclusion, this year’s Educational Forum will be hosted entirely online via livestream.
This half-day virtual event is an excellent opportunity for you – as a member of the College – to stay connected with the College and gain valuable knowledge through the following agenda:
- OCSWSSW update; and
- the keynote address titled “The Role and Value of Social Workers and Social Service Workers for Families of Children with Autism” presented by Tina Gandhi, MSW, RSW.
Although the Educational Forum is completely virtual, you will be able to participate by asking questions during the keynote address question period and/or engage with peers through the chat feature in the virtual portal. Registration also gives you access to view the Forum on-demand following the live event.
General Registration Now Open!
While there are no limits as to the number of participants attending this year’s Educational Forum, we encourage you to register now to get an introductory feel for the conference platform. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be an engaging event!
Please note: You will receive a confirmation email following your registration to the event. This email will contain personal login details for the 2021 Educational Forum Virtual Portal. We encourage you to log in prior to the Forum to check out the virtual portal and update your profile. Please check both your Inbox and junk/spam folders for an email from @pheedloop.com.
Participation and the CCP
As a College member, you can use your attendance at the Educational Forum towards the completion of your 2021 Continuing Competence Program (CCP). The CCP ensures that social workers and social service workers are qualified, enhance their knowledge on an ongoing basis, and remain up to date in their practice throughout their careers.
