Transcript Requirements

All applicants educated in Canada and the United States must provide official transcripts as proof of their academic qualifications as part of their application.

These transcripts must meet specific criteria and be sent to the College directly from the academic institution.

Transcript Criteria

Your official transcript must include the following:

  • Clear indication that the academic qualification (degree or diploma) has been awarded.
  • The date that the degree/diploma was awarded.  The date cannot be in the future, as your transcript must show that your degree/diploma was already awarded.
  • The name of the degree/diploma or credential awarded.
  • Grades for each course completed in the program.
  • Hours or credits for each course completed in the program.
  • The official seal of the academic institution (only required if sent in by mail).
  • Signature of registrar or equivalent official authorized by the institution.

Acceptable Methods of Delivery

Applicants educated in Canada and the USA must contact their academic institution and request that an official transcript is sent directly to the College. The academic institution can send the transcript using one of the following methods of delivery:

Have your academic institution email the transcript to registration@ocswssw.org.

Third Party Platforms – (MyCreds™ or Parchment)

Upload and share your transcript with the College through the MyCreds™ or Parchment third party platforms.

Mail

Have your academic institution mail your official transcript to the College office:

Note: Transcripts issued directly to applicants will not be accepted even if they are received in an unopened, sealed envelope.

Instructions for New Graduates

If you have graduated in the current year, please note:

  • You must wait until after your convocation ceremony to order your transcript.
  • After convocation, contact the Office of the Registrar at your academic institution and confirm that your transcript meets the criteria described above before it is submitted to the College.

Instructions for Equivalency Applicants

Equivalency applicants educated in Canada and the USA must contact their academic institution and request:

  • An official transcript for every course or academic qualification (degree/diploma) they wish to include in the evaluation of their application.
  • An official transcript for any transfer credits completed.

Contact the Office of the Registrar or equivalent office at your academic institution and confirm that your transcript meets the criteria described above before it is submitted to the College.
