The mandate of the Governance Committee is to:
- Develop, maintain and review governance policies and procedures;
- Develop and review annually a Council Member Profile for each election of Council members;
- Make recommendations to Council regarding governance policies and procedures and changes thereto; and
- Perform other duties determined by Council.
In 2025, the Governance Committee:
- Reviewed the development and progress of Parts I and II of the Governance Manual and recommended it be approved by Council.
- Supported the College’s bylaw review and modernization.
- Reviewed and refined the Council Member Profile and Screening Policies for Council Candidates.
