Council members Mandi Olson and Marinna Read provided an overview on Council’s June trip to Thunder Bay and Fort Frances.
Sanjay Govindaraj, RSW, provided his outgoing report as Council Chair to Council.
Denitha Breau, RN, MSN, MBA, Registrar and CEO, presented her report to Council. The report provided updates under each priority in the College’s Strategic Plan and included information about the following: ongoing outreach and Professional Practice engagement; updates around entry-to-practice exams; registrant-base data insights and registration activity; professional conduct highlights; and ongoing communication and partnership engagement.
Council received an update on the College’s Risk Register.
Council reviewed the Statement of Financial Position as of July 31, 2026.
Council reviewed the Statement of Operations from January 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026
Council reviewed the 2027 Budget and Work Plan.
Council approved revisions to the Equity and Inclusion Data Initiative Policy.
Council received an update on the College’s government relations efforts including work related to Bill 119.
Council reviewed and approved the recommendations of the Nominating Committee with respect to statutory and non-statutory committee membership and chairs.
Reports and evaluations from 2025-2026 were received from the following statutory committees: Executive; Complaints; Discipline; Fitness to Practise; and Registration Appeals.
Reports and evaluations from 2025-2026 were received from the following non-statutory committees: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; Standards of Practice; Election; Nominating; Finance and Audit; and Governance.
