College Update: No Increase to Registration and Renewal Fees for 2027 & Reminder on 2026 CCP Required Resources

The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is pleased to provide you with the following updates:

  • Reminder on 2026 CCP Required Resources

No increase to registration and renewal fees for 2027

During its meeting on June 10, 2026, College Council approved the recommendation of the Finance and Audit Committee that there be no increase to the registration and renewal fees in 2027. In making this decision, Council carefully considered the College’s operating costs and resource needs.

2027 Registration and Renewal Fees

  • General Class of Registration: $400
  • Electronic Practice: $100
  • Inactive Class of Registration: $200
  • Retired Class of Registration: $50

All College registrants in good standing must renew their certificate of registration every year, on or before December 31st. This includes registrants in the general, inactive and retired classes of registration.

REMINDER: Complete your 2026 CCP Required Resources

This is a reminder that the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) is a mandatory requirement for all College registrants except those in the retired class of registration. This includes registrants who are:

  • not currently practising;
  • in the inactive class; or
  • on maternity, parental or sick leave.

Completing the CCP every year helps registrants stay current in their practice. To complete the CCP, registrants are required to:

College registrants can use a variety of learning activities towards the completion of their CCP including professional development training through their employer. Additional examples of learning goals and activities can be found in the CCP Instruction Guide.
