AMED 2025 Videos Now Available & Register for Upcoming Coffee with the College Sessions

The College’s 2025 Annual Meeting and Education Day (AMED) took place on June 3, 2025. This year’s theme was Advancing Innovation and Public Protection.

 Videos of all the sessions are now available to watch on the College website and YouTube channel.

These videos serve as relevant professional development tools, supporting you in upholding professional and ethical standards of care. Viewing the College’s AMED video recordings can also count towards the completion of your Continuing Competence Program. We encourage you to watch the videos that you may have missed during the live event.

Keynote Address Highlight

The keynote session, How to: Live Through Unprecedented Times, presented by Professor Charmaine Williams, PhD, RSW, Dean of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, is now available to watch. Charmaine’s presentation addressed practical strategies for those in social, health and community services to remain resilient, united and effective in advancing justice, even in the most challenging times.

Reminder: Required Resources for the 2025 CCP

The Continuing Competence Program (CCP) is a mandatory requirement for College registrants, ensuring that registrants stay current in their practice. Participation in the CCP is required every year, except for those in the retired class. This includes registrants who are not currently practising, those in the inactive class and registrants on maternity, parental or sick leave.

As part of the 2025 CCP, you are required to review the following practice resources:

Reminder: College registrants can use a variety of learning opportunities, including viewing the College’s AMED video recordings, towards the completion of their CCP. Once the videos are viewed, registrants can download the certificate of participation here.

Hosted by the Professional Practice Team, this engaging lunch and learn discussion explores some of the most common ethical and practice dilemmas that registrants encounter. Registrants will also be able to ask questions and engage in live consultations with the Professional Practice staff.
