The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is pleased to share that its Equity and Inclusion Data Initiative will launch in the upcoming 2024 renewal period.
Through the Equity and Inclusion Data Initiative, College registrants are invited to share how they self-identify on a voluntary basis as part of their annual renewal of registration. This initiative is the College actioning our commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion and recognizing that advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and addressing discrimination are important parts of our public protection mandate.
The initiative is based on the fundamental principle that only what is measured can be effectively understood and improved. It was developed to provide insight into the degree to which the diversity of the Ontario public is reflected in the College’s registrant-base and identify gaps and disparities between registrants and the Ontario public.
