The College Introduces Its Redesigned and More Accessible Website

The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is pleased to announce the launch of its redesigned and more accessible website.

The new website is part of the College’s ongoing efforts to leverage technology to improve its services and make its platforms more accessible to the stakeholders we serve.

Created with the stakeholder experience in mind, the College’s newly redesigned website is compliant with the latest accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0-compliant) and includes new features to help members and other stakeholders navigate and efficiently access information relevant to them.

As a member of the College, you may find the following changes and additions to the website especially relevant:

Resource Room

We’re excited to introduce the College’s Resource Room, which houses most of the College’s resources, including a new functionality for Practice Resources. The Practice Resources can now be searched by category (i.e., the subject matter) – from “Electronic Practice” to “Psychotherapy” to “Duty to Report” – as well as by type, including “Practice Guidelines,” “Practice Notes,” and “Practice Webinars.”

FAQs Webpage

Similar to the Resource Room, the new FAQs webpage is a central location for all of the College’s frequently asked questions. The FAQs are separated by category – from “Applying to the College” to “Complaints Process” to “Professional Practice Support” – and are listed in alphabetical order to help stakeholders find the appropriate sections.

We invite you to explore the new website and its features! As with all new initiatives, we understand that it may take time to get used to some of the changes. We appreciate and thank you for your patience.

If you have any questions about the redesigned website, please contact communications@ocswssw.org.
