Registrants can now renew their registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) for 2027. As part of the renewal, registrants will be asked to confirm their participation in the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) for 2026.
The deadline to complete your 2027 renewal and payment is December 31, 2026. Registrants who do not renew by the deadline risk having their certificate of registration suspended for non-payment of fees.
New registrants who were issued a certificate of registration at any time in 2026 must also complete their 2027 renewal. Renewals are based on the calendar year, not the date of initial registration.

Request a Status Change
Registrants who wish to move to the retired or inactive class for 2027 must submit their request through the Online Portal by December 31, 2026. Requests received after this deadline will result in additional registration fees.
To request a change in your class of registration, including a return to the general class, select “Request Status Change” under your profile name in the Online Portal.
Please note: Registrants must still renew their registration even if they change their class of registration.
If you do not intend to renew for 2027, submit your notice of resignation through the Online Portal using the same “Request Status Change” option.
Participate in the Equity and Inclusion Data Initiative
When completing their renewal, registrants are encouraged to voluntarily share their demographic information through the College’s Equity and Inclusion Data Initiative. This information helps the College better understand whether the diversity of its registrants is reflective of the clients and communities they serve.
