The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) will be holding its Annual Meeting & Education Day (AMED) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. EST. There is no cost to attend AMED.
This year’s theme is Advancing Innovation and Public Protection. The College is pleased to have Professor Charmaine Williams, PhD, RSW, Dean of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, as the keynote speaker. Her presentation, entitled How to: Live Through Unprecedented Times, will address practical strategies for those in social, health and community services to remain resilient, united and effective in advancing justice, even in the most challenging times. There will also be four educational sessions on a range of topics relevant to registrants’ practice.

AMED will be livestreamed on the virtual portal on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, starting at 9:30 a.m. EST. For those who register for AMED, videos of all sessions will be available to watch on-demand immediately following the live event.

Participation and the CCP
College registrants can use their attendance at AMED towards the completion of their 2025 Continuing Competence Program (CCP).
