The following programs have been approved as equivalent to a social service work program offered in Ontario at a college of applied arts and technology:

  • Addiction and Mental Health Worker Program – Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Native Child and Family Services Program – Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Human Services Counsellor – Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Human Service Counsellor – George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Community Worker – George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Social Work Diploma – Grant MacEwan College, Edmonton, Alberta
  • Community Worker – Outreach and Development – Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technology

The following is a list of approved social service work programs offered in Ontario. Generally, graduates who have obtained a diploma in social service work from these programs will meet the education requirement for registration as a social service worker with the College.
