Can I apply for a Certificate of Authorization if my corporation is incorporated federally or in a province other than Ontario?

The articles of extra-provincial incorporation will not meet the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Authorization issued by the College.

To obtain a Certificate of Authorization from the College, the corporations incorporated outside Ontario or federally must incorporate under the Ontario Business Corporations Act, and meet the requirements outlined in both the Business Corporations Act and the Social Work and Social Service Work Act, 1998.
