Election Committee

The College is seeking a member of the community (resident of Ontario who is neither a registrant of the College nor a member of Council) to serve as a Community Appointee on the Election Committee, for a two-year term beginning September 2026.

The mandate of the Election Committee is to:

  • Set the date for each election.
  • Determine the procedures to be followed in carrying out an election and a recount procedure which are not specified in the bylaws.
  • Determine disputes as to whether a registrant is eligible to nominate a candidate to stand for election or to vote.
  • Carry out the functions set out in the bylaws.

This Committee meets virtually for three (3) to five (5) meetings per year, for half-day meetings. Committee materials are posted approximately one (1) week in advance of meetings. Preparation time is approximately one (1) to two (2) hours for each meeting.
