Election Committee

The College is seeking a member of the community (resident of Ontario who is neither a registrant of the College nor a member of Council) to serve as a Community Appointee on the Election Committee, for a two-year term beginning September 2026.

The mandate of the Election Committee is to:

Set the date for each election.
Determine the procedures to be followed in carrying out an election and a recount procedure which are not specified in the bylaws.
Determine disputes as to whether a registrant is eligible to nominate a candidate to stand for election or to vote.
Carry out the functions set out in the bylaws.

This Committee meets virtually for three (3) to five (5) meetings per year, for half-day meetings. Committee materials are posted approximately one (1) week in advance of meetings. Preparation time is approximately one (1) to two (2) hours for each meeting.
