Become a non-Council Committee Member

The College is seeking a non-Council Committee member (resident of Ontario who is a registrant of the College in good standing but not a member of Council) to serve on the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee and/or Standards of Practice (SOP) Committee, for an annual term beginning September 2025.

  • An approach to meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities to implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s calls to action within the regulatory sector;
  • The enhancement of educational resources to support College registrants in practising ethically and professionally, with a focus on considerations related to equity, diversity and inclusion; and
  • Perform other duties determined by Council.

The mandate of the SOP Committee is to consider and make recommendations to Council on the following:

  • Reviewing the standards of practice of the College and guidelines which relate to the standards of practice of the College;

  • Changes to the standards of practice of the College and adoption of guidelines which relate to the standards of practice of the College;
  • Perform other duties determined by Council.

The College strives to create an inclusive environment which reflects the diversity of its registrants and the individuals, families and communities that they serve. As part of these efforts, the College encourages applications from members of the community who are proficient/fluent in French and from other equity-deserving groups – including those who are Indigenous, members of visible minorities, persons living with disabilities and/or women.

As a Non-Council Committee member, you will:

  • contribute to the governance of the College.
  • assist the College in fulfilling its public protection mandate.
  • receive a per diem honorarium and reimbursement of all reasonable related travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.

Interested applicants should submit their online application and résumé highlighting their relevant skills and experience and specifying any specialized competencies. The deadline for receipt of applications is August 22, 2025

Please note that the number of available positions for non-Council Committee members is limited by the College’s governing legislation, bylaws and policies.
