Since 2017, the College has hosted Employer Roundtables in Thunder Bay, Windsor, Sudbury and Kitchener. These interactive events provide an opportunity for employers to learn about the College and its public protection mandate and to share their ideas about how the College can better support employers. Mandatory Reporting 101

As mandated under the Social Work and Social Service Work Act, 1998, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is required to have a process for mandatory reports. The Act lists specific circumstances in which an employer of a College member must make a report to the College. This is the best way to determine whether the candidate is registered with the College.
