On October 27, 2021, the College invited members to participate in its virtual Educational Forum.

The Educational Forums are part of the College’s Glenda McDonald Educational Series. These half-day events are an excellent opportunity for members to stay connected with the College and gain valuable knowledge through the following agenda:

Keynote Address: The role of social service workers and social workers for families of children with autism.
Speakers: Tina Gandhi, MSW, RSW
Description: This keynote address focuses on accessibility and disability issues in social work and social service work practice. Tina’s presentation highlights how social workers and social service workers can take a systemic and interdisciplinary approach when working with families of children impacted by accessibility and disability issues – including families of children with autism. The keynote highlights assessment models and measurement tools to evaluate progress, discuss the creation of various groups based on client need (especially during the pandemic), the needs of families and siblings, and outline the various counselling intervention models that have been effective with diverse families.
