The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) is pleased to announce the election of Bob Thompson, MSW, RSW as the President of Council. First elected to Council in 2010, Bob has more than 40 years of experience in social work and has worked extensively in the fields of youth justice and child welfare.
The College would also like to welcome the additional newly-elected Executive Committee members of Council for 2015-16:
- David Hodgson, Public Member –Vice-President
- Greg Clarke, RSSW – Vice-President
- Beatrice Traub-Werner, RSW
- Gary Cockman, RSSW
- Lily Oddie, Public Member
The new Executive Committee was elected by Council on September 10, 2015.
The Council is the 21-member governing body and board of directors that manages and administers the College’s affairs. The Executive Committee is a statutory committee of Council, providing leadership to Council and facilitating its efficient and effective functioning.
